Life Happens, Do You Quit Living

One of the things that I love most about using Beachbody programs and products to lose weight and get healthy is that even though I am a Beachbody coach myself I have an entire coaching network of people to help me stay on track and focused when life feels like it gets the best of me.  Having this type of fitness support has made all the difference in my weight loss thus far.

Recently I have had alot happening in my life that is requiring more of a time commitment and it has made it very hard for me to stay on my P90X  routine the way it should be done. Rather than just give up and quitting,  I am going to make some temporary adjustments to my workout program and my nutritional program as well.  For now I am going to be using Tony Horton’s 10 Minute Trainer 5-6 days a week.  Rather than quit I am making this adjustment that will still keep me moving forward to the end result I am looking for.

I have lost over 70 lbs and 60 inches so far and I feel like I hit a wall so to speak as far as my progress. When life happens (and it will) you still have to stay true to your health and fitness, not doing that got me up to 320+ pounds in the 1st place! When I look at the 120 lbs that I still need to lose it sometimes feels as if it will never come!  One of my fellow coaches reminded me that 1-2 lbs a week is a healthy pace to lose weight in order to be healthy and maintain and build muscle. Going by that I am right on track.

Another one of my fellow coaches, and success partner told me that just because I was switching my workout program didnt make me a quiter or a failure but to give up would… I will never give up but if I need to make modifications to what I am doing as life happens I will always do so. Thus always moving forward towards my goal.

As far as nutrition goes… I have 106 days till my 40th birthday!!! On day 100 I will be starting a 100 day clean eating challenge for myself. I have found some incredible tips on how to eat clean on this blog http://thegraciouspantry.com  I will also be doing my best to follow the top 2 tiers of Michi’s Ladder which is a nutritional program not a diet! I will never ever diet again! Diets dont work!

All I can say is that to make changes to any program you are on to accomodate to an ever changing daily life is a great approach that even Tony Horton himself endorses.  To sum it all up into the words of Tony Horton… “Do your best, forget the rest” and this is some advice I will be taking and using!
